For over a decade our farmhouse in the Spanish Pyrenees has opened its doors to people from all over the world.  Walkers, Spanish language learners and cultural enthusiasts find here a home from home with its relaxed house-party atmosphere, its meeting of minds and dinners on the terrace - and some of the prettiest walks in Europe leading straight from the farmhouse door.

We are a small family company, known by many for our passionate love of the Spanish language and our famous Spanish & Walking house parties, run by language and cultural consultants with over 20 years experience.  However, over the years, many of our guests have returned, asking us to organise group walking holidays and family reunions, bird-watching tours and cultural visits, and slowly our repertoire has expanded:

I would like to think that our popularity is because we love our work and it shows. But I also know that it is because we hold the key to the Baztan valley and the sheer - intangible - beauty of the Baztan never fails to touch everyone's hearts.  This is an exceptional area, caught up in a time warp, whose mysterious Basque culture and mountain paths are known only to local guides.

The Baztan Valley
The Baztan valley lies between Pamplona and San Sebastian in the province of Navarre and in the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees.  Its extreme beauty has long remained a secret due to the inscrutable nature of the Basque people and its stunning walks along smugglers tracks and shepherding routes remain uncharted by any map.  Here, while vultures breed on cliff top ledges and wild horses roam the mountain passes, life has changed little since medieval times.

Our holidays are highly personal and run by professional language tutors.  We work with small groups and - as many of our guests travel alone - offer single rooms without supplement.
